Hmm.. I doubt the virus was explicitly from browsing your dA page. What was it?

It was from an ad. What happened was that my dA homepage was the only page I had opened in my web browser and then it closed itself and one of those popups that says "You might have a virus on your computer! Click yes to check!" came up so I pressed alt-f4 and instead of closing it, it started downloading something. I think I was able to close it in time, as after doing a few checks it came up with nothing. But still.. I don't like that at all and I'm not going to subject people to it.

I'm a pretty safe person when it comes to online perusal, so I'm quite certain it was from an ad that was okay-ed and displayed by dA.

Maybe.... It's possible you got some sort of virus on your machine somewhere, (you were right to try and close the window though)

I'm not sure. I haven't seen anything like that, though.

Well kiddo, I also would suggest myspace and do what I do, have you profile on private if you won't wanna deal with a bunch of idiots! if you do get a myspace, I would love to view your stuff still, so send me your myspace link if you'd like! Good luck trying to find something! Sucks that DA is going through this.. Hopefully it doesn't continue!
